Abstract:
This
system is a command-and-control
dialogue system that allows a user to interact with the operating
system by issuing voice
commands to the computer. Our system interprets those spoken
commands and routes them through a series of actuators. These actuators perform any of a
number of common tasks: moving
windows, resizing windows, launching applications, browsing web pages, and following
links. The key feature of the system
is the various degrees of natural language understood by it. This allows the user to issue
commands without adhering to a
strict syntax, freeing the user to speak naturally.
